She became a teacher after graduating from college and worked in South Bay Union School District, later becoming a Principal in Cajon Valley Union School District in El Cajon serving at 3 different schools K-8 in that District. She then moved to Walnut Valley High School District for 6 years, serving as their Director of Curriculum, returning to Santee after being offered a position as Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services. Following this, the Board hired Dr. Johnson as Santee’s Superintendent where she served until she retired in 2009.
During her retirement, Dr. Johnson has continued to be called upon to work for school districts and private organizations as the Business Department head and Human Resources Manager. Having become excited about the mission of Cristo Rey San Diego High School. Lisbeth is currently working as the Human Resources Consultant for the school.
